Through the targeted application of electromagnetic theory, microwave imaging, and high-power RF systems, Eureka hopes to fill the needs of a spectrum of clients in both the defense and private sectors. From the highest echelons of our nation’s military to the officer on the street, from the combat zone to the courthouse, from harbors to public venues, Eureka aspires to answer our clients’ most demanding requirements with innovative yet real-world solutions.
Core Competencies
Eureka’s core competencies include a high degree of expertise in electromagnetics and signal processing, including Impulse SAR processing, complemented by extensive experience in new-product/system development and integration; test design, planning, and execution; and overall program management. Successful applications include ground-based, airborne and spaceborne radar systems.
Customers
The grid that follows outlines the potential markets that Eureka has identified for its core technologies, which have been developed with funding from the DoD's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Eureka's HPEMS and "through-the-wall" sensor have been actively supported by the California Highway Patrol as well as by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which has provided extensive logistical support for the development of these systems and endorsed both.

Eureka specializes in harnessing microwave and RF technologies, coupled with advanced signal and image processing techniques, to enhance our nation’s security and defense. In particular, our company prides itself on its ability to actively respond to our clients’ needs, translating questions into answers, problems into solutions, ideas into vital new systems and technologies.
Guiding Eureka’s vision and operations is its CEO, Dr. James Tatoian, a seasoned scientific investigator with more than 25 years of experience in the field of electromagnetics and advanced radar systems. Before cofounding Eureka, Dr. Tatoian served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development Laboratories, a high-tech firm specializing in airborne and space-borne radar applications. Dr. Tatoian holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the California Institute of Technology.
Eureka Aerospace’s offices are at Gateway Tower in Pasadena, California, approximately 15 miles northeast from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In addition, Eureka has a microwave laboratory facility and an open field test site in Irwindale, California.
Eureka Aerospace, a “C” Corporation, was established in March 2001.
